MIAMI and EXETER, New Hampshire - Two companies singularly focused on unlocking data from siloed technology systems have partnered on providing an end-to-end platform to help various hospitality stakeholders access internal data and turn it into user-friendly, public-facing applications. The partnership aims to remove traditional limits around complex data-driven projects and provides a conduit for building applications quicker than ever before.
Hapi, the hospitality industry's leading platform for fast and cost-effective connectivity between technology systems, has partnered with addapptation, a low-code app development platform that empowers product teams and citizen developers to build personalized applications for their business.
Through the partnership, apps that interact with hotel systems data can be built and deployed quickly and easily. For example, one prototype was built to enable hotel employees to update customer preferences in the hotel's Salesforce-based CRM. Other examples could include customer portals or website widgets.
"At Hapi, we pride ourselves on building the back-end connections that extract, clean and normalize data from various hotel systems. But we aren't in the business of developing the front-end applications to take full advantage of that data," says Luis Segredo, founder and CEO of Data Travel, the company behind Hapi. "That's where the partnership with addapptation comes in - they can help hotels or tech providers with the final step, which is building user-friendly websites, products or applications powered by the data."
"The marriage between Hapi and addapptation provides endless opportunities for companies to easily build data-driven products and applications without hiring a full-fledged engineering team," says Melissa Jurkoic, chief experience officer at addapptation. "Accessing and presenting deep industry data has traditionally been incredibly challenging, and this partnership allows companies to take those complex analytics and turn them into sleek, user-friendly applications in a very little amount of time. addapptation prides itself on the user experience, meaning our development functionality can be used by designers with very little coding knowledge."
The partnership is unique in that it opens up Hapi, which has traditionally been focused on the hospitality industry, to other verticals. Meanwhile, addapptation, which serves multiple industries, now has a specific tie-in to the hospitality technology ecosystem. Both companies are focused on modernizing data access through user-friendly experiences.
